Has anyone ever refined these type of connectors before. They are gold over copper and the contact points look to be gold over stainless. Odd setup for sure. They weigh 1/2 ounce each.

Yeah I've got some of the same product - I send it in with my Type 43 connectors Scott. If its the same as I get then it comes out of Telecoms/mainframe chassis- is that what you've got there or something different?
 
Well these are from large DC rectifiers 800+ pounds each. But, I have some others just like them that came out of a huge IBM mainframe.
 
These are the same type as the ones that I recovered the gold from, a couple years back. They averaged 3.2 grams per kilogram from a batch of 5 kilograms. The source was the power supply connectors out of Foundry big iron switches.
