So one of our county clients is getting a whole new 911 call and dispatch center. So they are cleaning out the closets. Now I've seen some old junk come out of these types of closets but "come on, man"?

Really?

When do you think the last time they used this was????

A whole 16 foot trailer full of stuff.

To be more specific, a megger is used to test the insulation in a motor or transformer. It has a built in generator that charges the coil. They aren't cheap to buy, and they usually last forever. But,...with that, it was probably an old timer that knew how to use it. Any more most guys at a county facility wouldn't have a clue.

I often think of the museum I could of had if I'd saved all the old stuff I've junked over the last 30 years. There's some other cool stuff in the trailer. I'll post as it comes out. A lot of old Motorola radio stuff.

You'll get some nice components from it. I've taken a bunch of the amplifiers and radios apart. Used to see a lot more than I do now. Lots of signal transistors, which are those pretty little white ceramic parts with the four fat gold legs.

Another piece!

A suitcase with a surprise in it!

That suitcase power supply reminds me of something Matt Helm would have pulled out of the trunk of his Thunderbird, or perhaps something Goldfinger would have mounted on some control center dashboard, used only, of course, for evil purposes. Classic stuff.
