Hi,
I have already learned that flip chips are often pretending to be a "proper" BGA, but from a point of view of refier they are not.
There are some obvious flip chips which even a novice recognizes easily. These are for example "crystals" soldered to a surface of cell phone board, Celeron processors mounted on fibre base with crystal on the top, modern versions of BGA-s, which are looking very much like Celerons mentioned before.
There are also many other chips which are visually looking promissing but finally disappointing.
Is there any catalogue of photos of these available, so one would be able to learn, what has little or no value?
Or maybe are there any hints telling us that good looking BGA will prove to be a flip chip?
