I have come across a small amount of ceramic chips with what seems to be visible bond wires.E762B4BA-5954-43B4-A868-A2BFCE796956.jpeg

Some are a little different, but the visible plating and bond wires look the same. So the question is: how best to process? My gut feeling is to break with a hammer and simply put all of it in AR along with my few cermaic DX486 and drop the gold for re-refining later.
Anyone have other approaches to consider? Cyanide is not an option (yet).

Hi bemate,

It looks to me that is some sort of CCD unit, worth checking what type and what was used for, maybe you could get more value than the gold content...Some of these CCD unit are really rare and since this one has a ceramic body and gold plated legs it might be from around the 90`s industrial equipment.

Pete.

Check to see if they are collectable if not break them up with a hammer. You can leach first with dilute nitric to recover the silver and then go to AR.
