Reviewing my scrap, I have about 200 floppy drives. The only item of value I can identify would be the gold plated pins on the rear connector. Any idea concerning other metals to recover out of a floppy drive?

David,

Aside from the obivious gold plated pins the board components may be the only other source of precious metals in these drives. The housing will be scrap iron and the drive base in older drives is an aluminum block.
