All,

Today I decided to treat different waste solutions in the shop, they are labled as following;

1- Zinc nitrate solution from cyanide leaching,

2- AR waste solution from processing ceramic CPUs

3- SMB rinses after gold is precipitated

4- Ammonia rinses from gold powder purification

5- Cyanide solution and rinses after gold precipitated.

This time I poured almost 15 liter of zinc nitrate and rinses solution in a plastic bucket and some of it in a beaker to just get the feeling on how is it done,

pH at the begining of the process,

Increasing the pH by adding NaOH to the solution while stirring,

Zinc hydroxide precipitated at pH 6, filtering it to dry and process hydroxide to oxide.

More waste treatment soon to be posted.

Thanks and regards
Kevin

Kevin, you really should put some effort into editing your pictures. Get them rotated.

Hmm, but they seem to be fine on my iPad, do you see them upside down?

As for cyanide waste treatment I read this great articles. Hopefully someone will find it usefull,
