We have decided to dissolve metals using HCl/pressurized Cl2.

We are searching for an alternative way to have chlorine without cylinders.

Does anyone know of a industrial Cl2 gas generator? The gas need to be pressurized to enter the reactor.

I found some Cl2 generators online, but I didn't feel confident on the manufacturer.

HCl + hypochlorite can produce chlorine dioxide. I would use chlorate but it has the same prpblems.

TCCA + HCl make Cl2 but certainly not in a economical way for a industrial application

Before generating Cl2(g) study the dangers and your safety precautions.

Thanks butcher for your concern. I know the nastiness of chlorine gas, it's not something to play with.

Hence the idea of having a chlorine gas generator, this way we avoid having ~150 kg of compressed chlorine gas in cylinders, we produce what's being used.

The reactor should use between 2 kgs to 25 kgs of chlorine gas per batch.

I'm searching if it exists a good supplier for this type of generator, a brand name like Pfaudler is for glass-lined reactors, or if we should just go with the cylinders.

Go with the liquid cylinders. Minimize your risk by getting the smaller cylinders even though 1 ton cylinders are cheapest.
