How to self make a gold test kit

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a gold test kit on the internet but I find them a bit expensive. Now I am thinking of making such a kit myself for nearly zero dollars.

I tried to find information about this topic but I only found a recipe for making Swerters solution.
I would like to know if there is a known recipe for testing 8, 14, 18, 20K gold. My guess is that it is just AR in various concentrations? Somebody who can help me with this?

Might check this old thread. In my 1st post there, I give a simpler set of formulas that came with a test kit I had. They worked fine for me.
