Check out Rhodium price. Amazing. I recall Rh price was close to $10,000 many years ago.

Yep! And then it dropped well below $1,000, and it's been going up ever since. Gold goes up or down in tens of dollars. Rhodium jumps in hundreds.

In the case of palladium, it is clearly shown that lastly, a group of speculators is obsessed at
driving the price above gold's. Do not fall in that exercise of crowd psychology
 
Palladium is still rising sharply, but nothing comparing to Rhodium which has reached 9000 now.

As a curiousity I found this link today in which they use Rhodium to split Hydrogen and Oxygen by sunlight alone.
Not very detailed, but it may drive the demand for Rhodium even higher if it ends up to be a viable technology.
