I've been a big fan of the conspiracy videos on The Internet for quite some time now. I've realized a few things and would like to share them with members of this forum and people on The Internet. Please don't make judgments about me based on this post. I'm still a patriot first and foremost! If I have to defend Her with my life, I will do so for my fellow man and my children.

The conspiracy videos are designed to play on your fears and create irrational thought patterns in my opinion.

Believe me, I used to sleep with my Springfield XD-9 close at hand because of these conspiracy videos. Then instead of believing the videos and what the lecturers were saying. I did my own research... The only real video I've seen thus far that speaks truth is "Freedom to Fascism" and even that one goes off on a tangent near the ending when referencing RFID chips and tracking us all like animals. Probably the fear peddler Alex Jones, was allowed to have some input near the end of this video. They take things that are true, twist them a little bit, or put their own opinions on them and people begin to believe them because their explanations sound convenient.

For instance.
"Shock and Awe". Sure she was a goddess but the war wasn't a sacrifice to her, it was just about oil, plain and simple... That's just Dr. Deagle's way of making you rethink your own logic and to buy his products... I can point out so many things in Deagle's lecture that are off-base but to the layman it sounds like he's speaking the truth. However, if you do your own homework you'll find that he's just peddling snake oil for the most part. At least in my opinion... Just because somebody's a doctor, it doesn't mean they know it all.

Morgellon's Disease. Deagle thinks it's caused by silicon-based lifeforms that are being released into our atmosphere by usage of chemical trails from jet aircraft. Now do you honestly think if this was true about silicon-based lifeforms that the scientific community wouldn't be going ape-shit about it??
Cmon...

Georgia Guide Stones. Not a recipe for disaster, they're a recipe for rebuilding humanity in case of a large-scale catastrophe. They aren't a guide for bringing human population down, they're a guide for us rebuilding ourselves as a planet if there is a cataclysmic event of some type. If you read the stones carefully, you'll see that... Alex Jones likes to make it sound like it's a recipe for taking us all out. Not true at all. Another perfect example of how they're interpreting things in their own way and making us look at it from their paranoid viewpoint.

Bilderbergs. Of course people in high power meet to discuss economics, manipulate media, and start wars. It's not about controlling us, it's about exchanging power and money with people and keeping that power and money within a trusted circle. Again, it's just about money and power... pure and simple. Is it ethical? Hell no... but you CAN'T stop it. They've been doing these things since the beginning of time and will continue to do it until humans wake up and realize that money isn't, and NEVER has been a requirement of society...

Aspartame and food additives. For sure there are very bad things in our foods, but the main motivation for those being there is money and nothing else. We all have a choice to not eat those things. I don't consume Aspartame because it's linked to brain tumors and tastes like Children's Tylenol... For Diabetics though, sometimes it's the only option for a "sweet" drink. Now there is Splenda which chemically seems much better and I'm certain it will replace Aspartame. They don't care about the health risks that these additives pose, because long before people find out about them they'd have made billions. Once again, just about money and power...

Here's one that will really bake your noodles.
Take a wild guess at who was the president of the company that invented Aspartame. Any takers? Bingo! Donald Rumsfeld!

The main motivation for food additives is money. The company that's making the money, and the people allowing these additives into our foods all make money from it, and that's why they're there. Whomever can provide the best solution at the time, and who can pay the "approval committee" at the top the most money wins.

If you have any doubts about what I'm saying then ask me what I really think about certain things and I'll bet my explanations make more sense than those the fear-peddlers. You'll also notice that most of these guys have some kind of product for sale, or a membership to some type of club... it really is, in the end, all about money and wealth. Now I'm not saying what these guys are saying isn't somewhat true... it's their opinion of a truth or a connection of some type that they are creating to reach that inexplicable truth.

Here are a few things to ponder...

1. Even if this all these things were true. You alone will NEVER stop it... so there's no point in wasting your precious energy on trying to prevent something that you can't. Apathy still runs deep in many cultures. Especially in The U.S.
2. Most of the things stated by these people are true, it's just the connections that are falsified to play with your fears. Because let's face it. Not many people do their own homework anymore.
3. Fear works for the government. So why wouldn't people use that to sell their products or push their agendas?? Makes sense doesn't it?
4. You should still invest in land, survival skills, building-up provisions. Supplies such as medicine, canned foods, ammunition, reloading supplies,
precious metals, etc...
5. Yes, invest in radiation equipment. Things like Rad Detect, Iodine Pills, Radiation Shielding, Radiation Wash kits, etc... Nuclear attack is still a very real possibility.
6. Invest in biological prevention. Respirators, Immunity Builders, Decontamination kits, etc... Biological disaster is also a real possibility.
7. Always question the answers you receive, even when the people seem like they have good intentions. You'll usually find that something smells rotten in The State of Denmark. Especially if that information costs you money, or if they are selling something.
8. Read your holy books, meditate, focus on family, focus on the good in people, try to find your purpose. Quit wasting energy on the inevitable and purify your body, mind, and spirit. You'll be better off when you do.

The deepest that I'll delve into conspiracy-land anymore is through The John Birch Society. They are the only trusted source of information in my opinion but even then, question it.

What do you all think of these things? I'm not trying to piss on anybody's parade or start s**t. Just trying to solicit intelligent debate!

Cheers :)

Ya, I think conspiracy theories are for fantasy entertainment mainly.
Generally if you want to figure out why something in the world is happening the way it is it pretty easy.
The answer is always the same. It's all about the benjamins.
If anyone uses fear (or any other emotion) to make people make decisions (or opinions), then you know they're being weasels. It's well known people make bad decisions when their emotions are high. And if they could convince you without scaring you then they would.

You could probably guess, I am not religious.

Actually I think the whole patriotism thing as pretty cheesy too. It's loaded with emotion, so it probably doesn't make the best sense if you actually analyze it.

What a world. I just want about 10 acres, grow my own food, trade stuff with my neighbors, and say screw it to all the rat race money grubbers who are trying to make the world better for them and worse for everyone else.

People seem to forget, there are only a limited number of resources in the world, so if someone is getting very rich, then that money is coming out of many other peoples pockets. People that are very rich are obviously ripping other people off. Say oprah or bill gates, there is no way they could have worked enough hours to make as much money as they have. It's all of there consumers that are putting in the extra hours for them.
And if people are getting poorer then you know someone else is getting richer.

If by some miracle bill gates gave me all his money tomorrow, I would (of course get my 10 acres - I've worked enough in my life I should have that much by now), but then I'd spend all the rest of my resources making rich people poorer. It would probably take only a dollar to make a rich person lose a hundred, seems like a good return.

Yeah if I had Bill's money which is about 52 Billion now I think.

I'd take and spend about 51,998,000,000 on children and sick people around the globe... Who needs more than 2 million tops... honestly?

Not sure what he does with it, but I'm sure most of it is untapped...

You could basically go to every poor village on the planet and set them up with a 1 million dollar bank account and the village could feed themselves for the rest of their lives from the interest alone... for larger villages I don't see why 5 million would be a big deal.

This world doesn't make sense sometimes I swear!

Besides my work in precious metals I am an a emergency preparedness specialist. I help people prepare for what is coming. In my case this is not a conspiracy oriented field but a practical approach to the things that can help people all the time. I am a religious man and I do believe in the principles of Bible prophecy as a guide to our times -- but having said that I am far more concerned with earthchanges than I am with the manipulations of man. I know of things that are coming (not a matter of speculation or emotional idealism) that will effect every man, women, and child in this country. Since I use to work for the government in medical preparation for major events call this inside information. I have also been privy to information that one could use to support a conspiracy view point of modern history (like the Army general who told me that when they take over my services would no longer be needed and the regional Public Health administrator standing next to him who laughed at that and mentioned I would be useful in the death camps). Take that as you will.

I believe that preparedness (as religion or patriotism) is a personal thing.
I will not judge a personal who doesn't have them or one who does. All of us must take people one a case by case basis. I've meant people who stand up for everything right but would stab you in the back at the first moment of difficulties. And I have also meant people I would trust with my life and the lives of my family when the sh-t hits the fan.

I always advocate preparedness. This basically means keep ready for the worst you can image and then get ready for worse than that. I do believe that nuclear war is coming. I also know as a matter of absolute fact that a polar reversal is coming -- and this will change the entire world. I also advocate having land to grow on, food and seed storage,
reloading supplies, medical supplies, and some gold and silver for barter.
As a matter of course you will have to defend what you have -- how you do that is up to you.

This is my philosophy: If you come to my door and ask for help I will do what I can but if you try to take what I have one of us is going to die. And I keep my Springfield XD close by (as well as my shotgun and other weapons of sudden death). I am working on acquiring land and we will set up fields and green houses because food is far more important than precious metals.

For what is precious in your lives I remain Randy in Gunnison

Sometimes I think the ending will either come through global changes like you stated or even extra terrestrial visitors/events.

If there is a "reason" for Bush to stay in office then I'm going to be VERY worried because something really big is going to happen in our country. However, I honestly pity whoever tries something fishy in our great country because almost every house they visit will have a lot of lead flying back as a return favor.

I think the wave will start on one side of our country and when it does, the rest of the country's neighborhoods will start to band together to deal with the new threat as it moves across The U.S., whatever it may be.

Let's just hope Jesus returns before then!

I too believe in the saving of seeds, arms and munitions, living off the land, medical supplies, etc...

Hope for the best, expect the worst. It hasn't failed me yet.

Without tossing too much cold water on you folks, please try to remember that this is a gold refining forum, not a survivalist list. The title Debates and Discussions was created to air differences in methods for refining processes----in part because of a heated debate between GSP and myself. It is not a place to vent your personal beliefs that are unrelated to refining. Here, we should be free from religious dogma, and free from politics.

Religion is a very personal thing--- an unproven concept that is perpetuated via faith, based in large part on myth, possibly through the use of untruths. Said another way, there is no tangible evidence of a creator-----like it or not----we can exist simply by chance. I have no proof to the contrary, nor do others. You stop alluding to your beliefs, and I'll not mention mine again.

Society has more than enough trouble co-existing without anyone waving the flag of their religion of choice in the faces of others. For that reason, you should keep your personal thoughts private------right down to not declaring if it is Christianity, or not. If for no other reason, it serves no useful purpose on this board. Controversial discussions that tend to polarize readers should be avoided.

Harold

No problem.

I was basically making this post because there were a few heated discussions and some references to conspiracy lectures were made.

I just basically wanted to tell people to not waste precious energy on those things because 99% is B.S.

Lock or delete this post if you feel the need. No offense intended.

Not a problem on my behalf, either---just a caution to not let the subject matter get out of control. We have to be mindful of all the readers----which includes cautionary posts-----just keep them apolitical and non-religious in nature. Those I will delete. If you find a common interest and want to share thoughts, do so via the private message board, or with email. Not trying to influence the way you think----just trying to prevent it becoming public. You never know when your beliefs will be objectionable to others.

Harold

I am sorry guys, but this looks like the endoftheworld speech.
Yeah it is good to invest in PMs and land,in your family etc,but it really looks strange about radiation hazards and biological stuff. Something makes sence, but most of things don't. Or maybe i am just a person from the big city and don't understand something.

Dmitry,

Your comments are right on target. There's always some nut that makes predictions of doom and gloom----generally with nothing of substance involved. Such nonsense should not be propagated on this forum----it serves no purpose and can be divisive. We certainly have more important topics to discuss, topics that are instructional and informative in our common area of interest.

There are sites to follow for those that share radical views. We should stick to the subject of interest here----sharing knowledge and making the best of each day.

So there's no misunderstanding, I'm not implying that any of you are the nuts in question-----I'm referencing the authors of the doom & gloom of which I speak. Such people have been making their dire predictions for 2,000 years. Does anyone have evidence that they have been correct?

Harold

Harold I agree with you. This forum is not the place for conspiracy theories.
But I do believe that discussing gold and silver for preparing for the future is proper to this forum. I also believe that understanding the economic effects of the ups and downs in market prices in precious metals is crucial to this forum. I would like to see some of the people on this forum who have knowledge in this are share it. Just a thought but I believe a good one.

Randy in Gunnison

The entire point of my post is that there should be no conversation regarding religion or politics. Both are subjects that have no solution, and are extremely controversial. To repeat what I said previously, they tend to polarize readers.

You can rest assured, if a post is made that involves anyone's religion, or personal beliefs, it's going to offend no less than one reader. I know, because I read every post, and I'm offended by anyone's religious dogma. It is unnecessary to involve such beliefs in order to have a respectable conversation with others when discussing precious metals.

While I'm not one to speak against the holding of precious metals, even that is a controversial subject. Economists insist gold is not an investment----and I'd have to agree. It pays no interest, and is often a liability in that you must provide for safe storage.

Like religion, each of us pursue precious metals for reasons of our own choosing. Pushing those beliefs on others isn't any wiser than pushing religious beliefs on others. Be chary of offering such advice.

Harold

Well I initially created the post because of some references made about certain conspiracy lectures that I've watched. I just wanted to let people know that it's mostly B.S. and I guess I went off on a tangent.

No problems guys, let's put this one to bed and talk precious metals.

Regards

I thought we were laying this one down. All the crackpot theories and extremist politics makes this respectable place look cheap.

Please lay off the politics.

I tend to think that what humans consider to be true, is more of a conspiracy theory than what the masses consider to be a conspiracy.
