Hey,

any idea of the Intel 386SL gold yield? Less than the socket version I guess.

I have ~20 old Telco CPU boards with 386SLs. Should I bother scrapping / selling?

I can share photos next week.

I'm ready to buy this CPU and all the others (if they are exactly the same)
Shipping to Deutschland.

Details in PM.

Thanks!

Privet Bator,

can I cut the leads or should I bother desoldering?

Thanks

The Intel CPU's like these are fairly easy to heat up and lift off
of the board. If you are careful, you can keep the "leads" from
getting all bent up. To a collector you should be able to get at
least $10.00 each or $200.00 for just the twenty CPU's.

Then you can sell the rest of the telecom boards for their
respective scrap value. :D

Hey glorycloud,

thanks for your input! :D

Sounds reasonable. If it wasn't for the collecting market I would just throw them in among other plastic chips. These are easily worth more for collectors than as gold scrap.
