I got a quick question about processing two types of gold bearing printed circuit boards. I'd like to see if anyone might know if in fact they would be compatable in an AP solution together, or if there are issues that may interfere with the process.
The first type is the DirectTV LNB board, located inside the core of the Dish itself. This board varies in alloy type from series to series however the constant here is that the PM content exists upon the surface, whereas a copper circuitry system also exists underneath a solder mask. This board possesses alot of SMT, which measures out to a great deal of solder being used on it., and probably other unknown properties that may spoil a batch (such as waxes, glues, etc...)
The other type is the traditional gold bearing circuit board that has the gold circuitry under the solder mask.
Can these two boards be processed together, after cleaning with a hot acid bath and a couple of rinses? Will I have to worry about my values mixing with common metals durring a hot acid wash?
Thanx for your attention on this!
