Hi All , I am using Inquartation method for refining jewellery gold ,i usually use stainless steel tank(vessel) of capacity for 8kg(nitiric acid+gold +silver), for nitric acid washes but a supplier suggest me to use Titanium tank(vessel) , So need your help whether to use titanium tank or not ,worried whether nitric acid will cause any problem with gold alloy at the time of refining ? Can I use it for drying powdered gold or the silver on gas furnace(currently using stainless steel small vessel). Thanks!

The titanium tank will be good for use parting in nitric acid. Titanium is actually in excess of your needs and the titanium vessels cost more than the stainless but they are good for the parting of the gold / silver alloy.

If you ever decide to use aqua regia to clean up the parted gold even further, the titanium vessel will withstand the aqua regia as well.
