DMG suitability?

Hello All,

Living here in Canada provides for a hard time getting some of the chemicals we need to refine at a hobby level. Whether it be regulative restriction, reluctance from chemical suppliers to deal with Joe Shmoe or ridiculous charges for shipping and / or duties the feasibility of obtaining some things is unfeasible.

In regards to DMG my question is this - are supplement grade products suitable for the purposes we seek?

Hi Göran - thanks for correcting my ignorance on this. The basic level of organic chemistry I was exposed to in college was about 20 years ago and I recall it was a nightmare for most - many did not pass this course. Confusion arises when both are referred to as DMG. Back to the old drawing board.

Not only the importance of spelling, This is also an example of why using abbreviations is not always a good idea. Or that texting can be dangerous, not only while driving.
