Hello all,
I have been trying to figure out the best way to deal with several batches of stannous that are no longer working. I do not really want to just add it to my stockpot as I do not want to deal with the tin when I try to recover the PMs from the stockpot later. I also do not want to keep extra waste solution around. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't add it to the stock pot. The stock pot is only for solutions that could possibly contain values.
After the stockpot is processed it becomes waste and must be treated before disposal.

This is the waste stream to which you could add spent stannous chloride.
