Hello from Wales....
I managed to get my cpu pins reduced to gold flakes. I kept them stored away for a year until I had the chance to get to use oxyathesetalyne to melt it at Its final stage....
The gold was pretty clean tho there was a tiny bit of green (copper maybe?) Residue. But very minimal.
I got the oxy on it for 10 mins or so and what I'm left with is a brittle black sponge substance which broke apart.
I've collected it all up but what's happened and where do I go from here??
Any help and advise would be much appreciated!!!
Thank you

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I am unable to get hold of nitric... would the HCL with hydroperoxide mix do the same?

Try mashing the metal thin or crushing it (mortar and pestle), you may try and see if the thin metal can be attacked with HCl and bubbled air to add oxygen (dissolving base metal leaving gold), if not you can always add H2O2 and dissolve both gold and base metals and cement with copper.
