Good evening everyone,

Long short of the story is I have a few fiberglass CPUs, I took them outside and held a butane torch to them to melt the solder to that I could remove the pins. After getting all the pins out I got the idea to take an exact o knife to the now charred pin-less remains. As I peeled the layers back one at a time about the 3rd one down contained a bunch of connections that have the look of copper. The further down I go the more layers are littered with these connections. I'm wondering if anyone knows what metal they are & if they are inside ceramic cpus as well?

Most of the layers are simply copper connections, but there are a few key areas with gold plating as seen in the links above.

Incinerating components can produce very deadly gases. If you are incinerating, be sure to use proper fume control.
