What's in that tap water?!!
Ok here is what happen, I had some really nice powder, the kind that sparkles. I did a drop and the usual HCL washes and H20 rinses. I use rain water for that. So I decided rather than dry the new drop and weigh it I would just rinse it right into my dry powder.
I used tap water and guess what? In about a minute or so that clear tap water covering the powder began to turn Yellow. Yes boys and girls, powder that by rights should have had no nitrates or chlorides partially dissolved with tap water.
Just goes to show you how much chlorine is in what we think is clean good to drink tap water. A pinch of SMB the gold dropped and the water was crystal clear.
