Membership Programs now available!

Post by Noxx » July 16th, 2016, 5:04 pm

Tired of the ads ? The GRF needs them to survive. However, now it is possible to get rid of those annoying ads via membership programs. Three plans are available which have various incentives as follow:
membership.jpg
Beginning today, I will do monthly raffles for silver & gold members only.

Prizes are useful pieces of equipment for the refiner like:

-Various glassware (separatory funnels, condensers, etc.)
-A roll of ceramic insulating blanket
-A Flojet pump
-A small ball mill
And more to come!

This month raffle is a 1L separatory funnel. Very useful for solvent extractions!

Again, thank you for your contribution and may the luck be with you! 8)

Those four who donated between June 25th and now will be upgraded to the membership program. Just PM me your username and name. (I can't know your board username via paypal unless you specified it via comments)

Sorry but my name will remain the same, I'm here to help when I can ,do I need to pay to help others?
If it helps pay for the forum then let everyone buy a new color name but as stated above not for me, if others have been helped then pay for the privilege and let's keep sharing.

You are a good man, Charlie Brown!!

I'll say what guys like you bring to the board couldn't be tagged with monetary value. Even if we could get an accurate assessment of your surface area and multiply by Pi, it still wouldn't come close to the true assay!!

I signed up. This site is worth a thousand times what I paid. I enjoy learning new things and refining fits right in with my interests. I am just beginning my journey and I don't know where it will ultimately lead but I could realistically see myself doing this full time. Whether I end up there or somewhere short of that the education is the real treasure and this site is invaluable in that regard. Thank you to all involved.

How long does it take to show up after one pays? Does it need to be approved? Not being rushy or anything, just wondering when I'd get ad free browsing. :D Wish I could have done the $99..... but I am just a working man.

I plan on getting a membership myself, just waiting on funds to clear up. Might be a few months yet.

Noxx,

Please send me an invoice for the difference between my donation and the amount required for gold membership 99-10=89, if that's a viable option for an upgrade.

Thanks,
Robert Watson

Adblocker gets rid of adverts too.

Noxx has to make the change for you, and he's often away from internet access. I've sent him an email. He should be along soon.

Don't hold your breath T&D. I mentioned months ago that I was still getting ads and never got any action. No help from management and no raffles. I finally cancelled my membership before the next renewal.

Idaho, Noxx already changed T&D to a silver membership.

I'm sorry you're still getting ads. I have tried to duplicate your problem, but I'm unable to. The forum software allows me to test a user's permissions, and I've done that with your username, but I don't get any ads. I've also tried both my FrugalRefiner account and my non-moderator account that I use for testing changes to the forum. I've used both accounts on both my laptop and a Kindle Fire, and I don't get ads on any of them.

I believe you mentioned using a tablet. May I ask how you connect to the internet? I connect through the wifi in our home through our cable service. I don't have a smart phone, so I'm not able to connect through that type of service. Noxx previously found that users who connect through Tapatalk get ads that are pushed to them through that service, and he's unable to stop them. Other members have reported getting ads when using their smart phones, even if they don't use Tapatalk. Can you log in through a PC or laptop, and if so, do you still get ads? Let me know. I'd love to help you sort this out.
