Solution will not precipitate
I have two seperate cases:

First solution is from small boards with lots of gold color. Dissolved gold in muratic and clorox. Materials sat in solution two days. I saw a little gold left so put beaker on hot plate. All gold dissolved. Precious metal solution detector clearly identifies gold. Color of solution is almost a flouresent green. Solution will not precipitate with bisulfite. AI am looking for suggestions.

Second case also in muratic and bleach with precious metal solution tester showing dark brown like other solution. This solution is from cpus and required considerable filtering and also green in color. Both solutions free of all sediment.

Would appreciate some help. Brooks

Brooks,

4Metals has given you sound advice in the other post: boil the solutions down to eliminate the excess chlorine that is stopping your gold from precipitating.

If worst comes to worst, add a bar of copper and let the dissolving copper force the gold out of solution as a fine dark brown powder.

Brooks, you need help, reading the forum and Hokes is the best help you can get at this stage of the game, otherwise you are just shooting in the dark, it is much better when you can see and understand your target, you wont waste your time, and you will hit more bullseyes, with a little practice (after you get the understanding).
