when testing a chloride solution with stanous chloride,i obtained a dark grey collor---anyone can give me a hint of what could the pm be?i did this test for pt which i tried to obtain from harddisks platters----could it be rutenium?

The only reaction I ever got with stannous chloride that wasn't explained as a precious metal was a hint of gray. I have long wondered if it was tellurium.
