Gold Filled jewelry

Curious if anyone knows about buying Gold filled jewelry from China (un marked) and now it seems like some is stamped as GF but still from china. Do you think it's just plated or really Gold Filled ??

- I am from South Louisiana and new, I was curious, are thrift stores and flea markets good sources ??

What are you talking about? Buying new gold filled jewelry to refine?
If so, why do you think that would be profitable?
Why would the people making the jewelry bother making it, only to be losing money in the end?

i was under the impression people spend good money on tiny cpu's and escrap for the gold plated pins.

Yes shiny stuff sells and there are a lot of naive people who buy them without thinking. The goods they buy are rarely worth what they're sold for.
So many scams out there.
To get a good source of material you need to look hard.
