Welcome to the forum.
I have had a lot of fun recovering gold from electronic scrap. It's a deep hole you can easily get lost in.
Not all e-waste is worth recovering pm's from and different components need different processes to treat them. Separate as much material that can cause problems in recovery as you can mechanically before you treat anything chemically. It saves on chemical toxic waste to deal with.
As a hobby, refining e-waste can be very educational and satisfying but don't count the hours you put in.
Those first shining buttons are such a joy to have along with the gained experience and the path that led you there.
But most have abandoned refining ewaste.
Study how to get the easy parts first like clean cut RAM fingers and board contact fingers.

Our standard reading advice:
1. Read C.M. Hokes book on refining jewelers scrap, it gives an easy introduction to the most important chemistry regarding refining.
It is free here on the forum: Screen Readable Copy of Hoke's Book
2. Then read the safety section of the forum: Safety
3. And then read about "Dealing with waste" in the forum: Dealing with Waste

Suggested reading: The Library
