Greeting from the frozen midwest, my name is Henry and I was looking on the net for info about refining processes when i came across this site . I'm an auto tech but have always enjoyed working with metal as a hobby, have alot of friends that are welders ,they like shapeing steel and iron . I've wanted to learn about PMs but never seemed to be able to find a good source for information . I think Ive hit the jackpot here . There seems to be a lot of skilled people here ,I eager to learn how to safely work with products used , and proper methods .

If you'd like to hit the real jackpot, buy Hoke's book (Refining Precious Metal Wastes, C. M. Hoke). You'll learn more from that small investment than you can hope to learn here by asking questions.

Welcome to the forum!

After reading some threads I noticed that it seems to be book to have if you are serious about it . I am now looking for it ,trying to get the best deal on it , it's pricey at some places.

Do not let price be an issue. Most folks I know would gladly give a hundred bucks to be a millionaire.
