Hello all…hope everyone is having a nice day…

I posted pics of an unknown solid that showed up during processing my gold stock pot and I’m unsure of what it is. Also, the only solution in the stock pot was from 2 gold drops of fingers and CPU’s. Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you for responding.

I siphoned off my stock pot and collected the black mud in a filter….I then cleaned it off with hcl and placed the filter in a beaker with 120ml of hcl and 10ml nitric to create AR.
I tested the solution for the presence of gold with stannous, the test showed gold in solution. while in AR, these yellow deposits appeared floating atop the AR and bouncing up and down.
I let the solution cool overnight hoping they would dissolve when I checked in the morning. They were still there.
I filtered the gold solution off to another beaker to drop gold (which I have not done yet) And captured these objects.
when I put a small one in my fingers and and crushed it and on my gloves it looked like gold sparkles. I did it again on filter paper and aga it sparkled like gold. I proceeded to put in hcl to see if there was a reaction…nothing happened. I proceed to add a few drops of nitric (making AR again in small beaker) heated and no reaction.

I would greatly appreciate anyones help to aid me in solving what these could be. They are yellow in appearance when not in solution.

thank you very much again for any help the forum can give me.
sincerely Dino

It is more white than yellow. Might be SnO2
Hi Lino,
after reading your post, which I greatly appreciate thank you so much for responding, you are correct I looked it up after getting your post and did a little more research and it is yes a off-white solid (tin oxide) once again thank you so much for chiming in and giving me the direction to go to understand what it is that I was dealing with. I am a newbie here even though I signed on back in 2020 early 2020 I am still a newbie learning; and greatly appreciate all of you who have dedicated yourself here thank you so much again.
