So I’ve bough about 19.5l s of square ceramic ic chip. I was wondering do any of you fine refiners could give me say a projection of what I might be able to expect for a yield. I’ve attached a photo any help would be greatly appreciated IMG_3646.jpeg

I do not know how much to expect.
But are they all the same chips.
Same brand and date?

In general Motorola is a good brand for finding gold bond wires inside. You’d have to break one open though to check, and examine the broken edges with a loupe or microscope for bits of tiny gold bond wires sticking out of the plastic. The external leads end a bit inside the plastic, then the bond wires (either aluminum or gold) bridge from their ends to the edges of the silicon die in the center. So that in-between area is where to look for them, not near the outer edges of the chip and not at the very center either.

Are you sure they are ceramic?...

If so and they're a two-piece construction, you can stand one on the edges and give a good tap with a hammer. Sometimes, that will split the two halves so you can see the internals.
Thank you I’m about to break one right now I’ll post a pic for y’all to check out.

I have no clue they don’t feel like their plastic though

A thorough search of each of these steps will lead you down a rabbit hole of knowledge. If you understand them, and apply them correctly, you will be way ahead for getting your gold out of these chips.
