Yes. The cone mold allows the heavier metal fraction to freeze in the point. The steep sides encourage any beads that may linger to migrate towards the bottom as well. When you empty a cone mold and break off the cone, or pyramid in your video, inspect the slag that was close to the metal cone for beads that didn’t make it to the metal cone before it solidified.

While we are at burning filter media.

I have a video link where people use round bottom containers to recover traces of gold and then collect the bead from the bottom of the container, let me just check and get back with the video.

Here it is he is recovering the gold from jewellers filling dust.
This video, aside from the fact that I have no idea what he is saying nor do I know how to translate a youtube video, but the video has nothing to do with the discussion so far about drying cement Silver in a centrifuge. If you wish to post this video please start another thread for discussion to keep the title of your original question true to the topic. And if possible a translation would help.

My apologies I got carried away by the smelting part of it, I guess it's best I delete the comment, and you are right I got carried away by the main topic of the thread.

The crux of the video is he used boric acid, salt and potassium nitrate as a flux to collect the gold powder from the jwellers saw dust.

If anyone's interested in this stuff I can start another thread.

Not sure why this guy's videos came to a sudden stop but he had some pretty good ones several years ago.
