My name is MeganRose

I am an eternal goldbug, platinum bug, palladium bug, rhodium bug, iridium bug, and not much of a silver bug. I find silver boring .

I look forward to catching up on all 7,000+ posts. That should keep me busy for a good spell.

Since I am a Lady, I don't volunter my age, except I will cheerfully admit to being a Grandmother. Want to see some pictures? LOL

I enrolled here because many of my customers ask questions about things they've read and try because of this site and the videos Steve makes available. I thought I could answer my customers' questions better if knew what they are talking about when they say "AP," "SMB," "SN" and other "shorthand" terms used here.

Good Luck in School, Noxx. I hope this site continues to grow beyond your wildest dreams.

Good Luck in all your businesses, Steve. You seem to know alot about computers. That's really cool.

Good Luck in Retirement, Chris and Harold. I love reading the real life anecdotes you both share in particular. A lot of wisdom in your posts.

Good Luck and many many ounces of precious metal success to all
here.

Safety and Health to all.

Thank you, Megan.

I, for one, would like to welcome you to the forum. If I have said anything in the past to offend you, I would like to retract it and, I hope you accept my apology. Quite often, men can be much cattier than women. Also, men often automatically macho up when women enter their hallowed clubs. All of this is BS, of course. We must always remember that C.M. Hoke, the author of the greatest refining book ever written, the book most revered by the members of this forum, was a woman.

I would like for all of us to start over. This is Day 1. The fact that your reputation precedes you is both good and bad. Most everyone of us have heard about you. Most of us haven't read your stuff, yet we have tended to form opinions from hearsay. Maybe your writings are good and maybe they're not so good. I would, however, bet on the former. Often, when an amateur reads a good technical book, they don't like it. The truth is, however, that they aren't advanced enough to understand it. That happened to me a couple of times when I was selling my refining book. I though it was a damned good book but, you can't please everyone.

So, welcome again. I hope you hang around. I would suggest you use the MeganRose identity on your posts. It avoids confusion. Try not to make technical errors or people will be on you like flies on you know what - I say this from being on the receiving end a few times. Roll with the punches.

Knowledge is King in this business. NONE of us know it all in this business - it's too vast. Let us all learn something new every day.

Chris Owen

Welcome to the forum Mrs. Rose,

It's nice to see you posting here.

I have not read your book(s). The only comments I've seen about your book(s) were all posted here. I'm slow to judge anyone based solely on public opinion, pro or con. I like to form my own opinions as I'm sure all of us here do.

I'm looking forward to reading your posts. It's always nice to have new members with experience in the field that are willing to post what they have learned to help our members. Harold and Chris have been a real god send to this forum. Their years of hands on refining experience help keep everyone here in line (Thanks Guys!! )

We also have some really sharp prospector types and PGM seekers. Lately, several new members have displayed an excellent aptitude for the chemistry involved in metal refining and cleanup.

Like Chris said, no one knows it all, but by sharing knowledge we can all benefit from one another in areas where we may normally may have had none.

Constructive criticism abounds here, everything usually works out in the end. Lord knows I've made plenty of mistakes and had to be set straight. I feel a clean debate is healthy for everyone as long as it doesn't detract form the overall good of the forum.

Here's the 10 Cent Guided Tour that will catch you up on the shorthand used on the forum:

Same here. I can get along with anyone who will let me. Not quiet sure of your intentions just yet, But that's me. I like drama sometimes.

As long as you hearts in the right place, That's all that matters.
Don't take my ranting and raving to heart. I do so for educational pourposes sometimes. Time has a way of showing us things.
Again welcome to the forum.
