Hi there, again for the second time.

I'm not new to this board. In fact, back in 2008 I signed up here and learned a lot from Noxx, GSP and Steve. You guys most likely don't remember because because I may have had 50 posts if I'm lucky. Anyway, I stopped coming around because one day I was surfing around the forum and clicked on a link--only to download a virus. So, I left and never came back. Since that time, I've moved a whole bunch and am ready to get crackin' again since we just bought a house. I still have all of my old stuff, including an old bottle of muriatic acid.

I was under the impression that this stuff doesn't go bad, but it is starting to turn the outside of the bottle a brownish color. The surface of the bottle is also starting to bubble up a bit. Small, but still a little freaky. Should I dispose of this stuff? Or can I still use it? If I remember correctly, I was going to use it with 3% peroxide to strip the fingers of gold. I'm a little rusty though, so I have some more research to do again.

I have no idea what my old user name was, or even what the email was--thought I could narrow that down. However, the email address may not be valid anymore because we moved and canceled that email address. Anyway, I'm glad to be back and offer up any kind of help that I can.

I also am an old member that forgot my password and ended up re-registering to this forum. If you can remember anything about what you posted before, try searching this forum and see if you can find your old messages. Once you know your old username, you can re-read your old posts. Might refresh your memory and save asking the same questions again. It's kind of nice to see what you were thinking/doing back then - similar to a diary or journal focused on gold.

Welcome back.
