New member, what a great site!!!
Without getting long winded I will give you some of my background.
I am a "dirt and rock" miner. In the course of doing this I have tried to get the most of my labors. This evolved into chemical recovery and testing.
In the course of this I also found myself experimenting with electronic componet's, scrap etc. Wow! what a learning experience!! Lot's of myth's and general b.s. Read,Read,Read.
I have probably made every boneheaded mistake you can think of (and then some) Don't even want too think about how much gold I have wasted / thrown out. But... I learned a whole lot from my failure's (temporay set back's?) filtering, basic technique's etc. Had some outstanding sucess also. the learning curve is always going up. If I don't know somthing it just eat's on me till I figure it out. I also don't like bending the outcome to fit "my" reality. I have seen this alot, wish in one hand and... well you know what I mean.
Reading this forum I have re-confirmed some my work and learned a whole lot more.
I don't consider myself as an "expert" by a long shot, but I hope to contribute some of my knowledge from time to time. You guy's realy have this stuff clocked, don't know if I can add much.
Again, great site, good people!!

Welcome, Mike.

From your first post, I can tell tell that you can be a great asset to the forum. I've been doing this full time for 40 years and I'm often surprised at how much I've learned in 8 months, from people like yourself. This is a vast subject and no one comes close to knowing it all. You may be surprised at how much you can contribute.

Chris
