Let me give you a little friendly advice.
Learn to walk before you try running a marathon.
I see nothing wrong with your objective, but if you lack basic refining knowledge, it's highly unlikely you'll have a clue if your creation works, or not, nor why, if it does not.
To prepare yourself for this new adventure, read Hoke's book on refining precious metal wastes until it makes sense. Refine a few small batches, so you are familiar with the reactions, and understand what to look for. Learn how to test, and how to identify metals, not only in solution, but in solid form. All of this is important to success.
