Hello All,

I am brand spanking new to this forum. Man do I wish I would have had this forum a few years ago. This place is awesome.

So I'm new to gold refining, but old to PM collecting. Been a hobby for several years. I've been hunting garage sales and thrift shops for awhile now. I'm also a confessed silver coin fisher.

I love me some PM.

But I am brand new to the art of refining. And I am taking it VERY slow. I am interested in learning it from the ground up and not interested in damaging my health or my gold in the process!

This place is its own gold mine. I thank every poster on here for sharing information. This really is great.

So here is why I am here.

I think I may be different than a lot of people on here. I want to learn to refine gold to make 24k +/- bullion. TO KEEP. Not to sell. I'm interested in hording ;-) Like Scrooge McDuck. I'm interested in being able to make my own bullion to put next to my credit suisse bars in my vault (money bin)

So anyone with any pointers on where to start in that effect, feel free to let me know.

Thats me. Thanks for having this forum.

Hoard away Brother! HEHEHEHE!

Welcome to the forum and just keep reading and chatting - if you need help just post it and you will get answers - but you have to start to start refining!!!!!!!!

Welcome!

You have a good attitude. Now follow up your good attitude by buying Hoke's book "Refining Precious Metal Wastes".

In it you will learn how to test metals, how to make proper solutions, how to refine metals, and much more. It is written for the layman. You need not understand chemical terms, and it carries you through all of the operations you'll need to refine gold, platinum and palladium. It doesn't address silver well, but you can learn all you need to know here on this forum, or from a book written by Butts & Coxe. (Really!) :)

BUY THE BOOK!
