Other : Hi everyone, after finishing my studies at college I became involved been involved in the production of cats from the age of 19 for a company which produces the fibre support mat. After 2 years I left to work for a small start up company which tried to extract and recover the PGM's from the autocat ceramic using a saturated salt/ nitric leach. The company since failed and I am trying to achieve a similar business myself using leaching based technology, I just need to find the right leach for Rh! lol

Welcome, I know there are a few people here that
are looking to process convereters, myself being one.
I plan on making a system like action mining sells that
uses their CLS. I don't know about how the rhodium
is effected by the CLS or if it is fully recovered with
that process, that is one of the things I need to find
out. Jim

yes Rhodium is the problem, I 'm quite sure it can be disolved using a hyrdrogen Bromide/ Bromine mixture however this is not practical on a large scale, or any scale.

Welcome to the forum James, it's good to have you here.

I've no experience with cats but I do have some material to work with. I've been giving the idea of chlorine gas some thought for dissolving the Rhodium from the cats.

I've read on one of the mining sites about the SSN extraction technology for gold several years back. I haven't tried it yet.
