Greetings;
I'm Shaul from Israel, Male 58 years old.
Been here about a week now, laying low and reading the posts.
Ten years ago, after being ripped off by an unscrupulous computer-scrap buyer, I decided that if I couldn't do my own refining I wouldn't waste my time; and so began a great adventure. At some point I discovered Shor's refining system but felt it wouldn't suit my needs, I also didn't like the idea of having to buy their secret chemicals at exorbitant prices. I believed that electro-refining was my best choice as living in a rented apartment in a residential neighborhood (and not having a proper work space) severely limited my options. Having thick brown acid fumes pouring out my windows doesn't make for friendly neighbors.
I joined an electroplating forum and read their posts. From there I discovered and joined the MicronGold user group. On MicronGold someone suggested Recyclebiz (I see that Chris Hyder and Chris Owen from the recyclebiz group, are here as well. That says a lot to me as any information from these two is tops.) And now, just over a week ago someone on MicronGold posted a link to this site. This is like a dream come true with everything under one roof.
My present situation is as follows; I live in a rented apartment in a residential neighborhood as before, and though I have yet to process anything, I never stopped collecting and now have a huge amount of raw material from computer-related stuff and junked high-end medical equipment, both of which I have a steady supply.
That's it for now and glad to be on board.
Shaul
