We are getting ready set up our small gold refining operation. How to rid of NOx fumes. Positive suggestions? We need safe advice. We read that sodium sulfite is an effective chemical to neutralize NOx gas. What do you think?

Welcome to the forum. In the upper left hand corner
of each screen you will see a search box which is very useful.

Try it and see if you will find most of the answers for what you

Like glorycloud said, search for your answers. This subject has been well covered during the last month or so.

If I remember right, sulfites, for scrubbing NOx, haven't been discussed here but I've noticed this is well covered in the patent literature. If anyone knows anything about their use, they will probably chime in. I'm thinking you end up with SO2 and that would also have to be scrubbed. I would have to re-read the patents to make sure. You could do the same.

I deleted 2 other threads you started since they were asking essentially the same thing as this one. Please try to use the same thread for a single topic or question. I guarantee you that just one entry will get read. Most active members read (or, at least, look at) everything. Duplication clogs the forum even more than it is already clogged.
