Hello Everybody,
I was to prepare a video CD for the gold refing process at our refinery. We use the Aqua Regia for gold refining.. As you may know we melt dore bars(not fine gold) in the induction melting unit then we pour the melted metal into a cool water tank (water is constantly kept cool, and it rotates).. Thus, the precious metal becomes like leaves because terribly hot metal is shocked in cool water and is scattered in the water in an irregular way.. this is a sort of increasing the surface area to help chemical reactions (Aqua regia) be ultimately effective.
In my videoo CD I called this process as "forming precious leaves"..
Is there anybody who know the specific term for this?
Some may say "granulating".. but I think granulating is rather about anaother thing.
Thanks in advance.
