I'm in my fifties. I had a computer maintenance company which was acquired by a major-league competitor in the mid-nineties. That was good for me. After I was released by the acquirer I didn't start up another company..... all of that seemed too hard to do again.... so I started to trade in second hand IT hardware. I have purchased tons and tons of this over the last ten years. I generally boiled it down and sold the good stuff as refurbished and flipped the low-end and scrap to dealers a bit lower than myself in the food chain. I have been involved in sending IT gear in forty foot containers to the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka and Fiji.

I'm over it now... working too hard, that is. So now I am experimenting with reclaiming gold from the gear which comes my way. I never had time to do this before. Ironic that I want the junk now that my phone is not ringing as much. This is the start of my corporate wind-down.

I have just reclaimed my first half-ounce.

In doing my research around the net I found LaserSteve's site. I picked up leads from there and arrived here. This place looks to have the knowlege and community which I feel good about.

I'll take my project further and I feel that this could become a full-blown obsession...... we'll see.

I feel that I owe a bit of a debt to lasersteve. I was going to buy a dvd but I baulked at the information required by paypal. I'll pick up on this later with steve and work out how contribute.

Actually, I met Harold somewhere else in my research and he is tutoring me through a couple of 'shots' which I started and then come up against the unexpected. Needless to say I am buying Hoke.

I will be a bit quiet though, for a bit of time, I still have too much on my plate.

I'm into wooden boats, fishing, sport (soccer mainly). My boys are 19 and 17.
In the US, I've spent most time in Boston and loved it. Also been to Scottsdale AZ, La Jolla, Atlanta, LA, NY and the place that is always wet... wossname where the radio psychiatrist is from?. Mainly, this was back when Wang was a power.

I love CEGEP but it's a lot more work than High School. But I don't matter cause it's about chemistry. I'm learning my polyatomic ions !

But I know I'm not here often but I try to read posts and to answer PMs.
