rinsing filters

Hi, can I use alcohol to rinse the colored pgm precipitants?
Thinking that alcohol will evaporate more easily than diluted
ammonium chloride,

Yes, and the ethanol has the added benefit of removing water. Just make sure it is absolute. If it carries much color into the filtrate, think again.
