I'm wondering if there's anyone on this forum that has the ability to crush 1/2 mesh and smaller ore pieces to 100 mesh & smaller fairly quickly. I have high grade material and can get plenty more! I'd like to capitalize on the short Alaskan season. Basically I'd send you dry material, you would crush it, and weigh out half for you & half for me. Then forward my half with provided shipping label to my refiner. You can do what you wish with your cut! Refine it yourself, or with someone else you prefer.
PM me, or email/text/phone and let me know what you can do. Thanks!

You could do your own crushing by using a steel barreled cement mixer and an assortment of steel balls, fairly easy to source and cheap to set up.

Yes you're right. But the secondary market for most anything in Alaska is very expensive. Even people's "scrap" or "junk" lol. So yeah I've been exploring my options. The easiest would be to outsource to someone elsewhere to forward on to my refiner. I'll split the ore 50/50. I have excellent Chlorargyrite ore. And can get plenty more thanks to public access. Panning only allowed in a Federal park area. So, I'll just start panning me up some giant ass Chlorargyrite ore lol. We're talking Denali area. Very legendary for having insane mineralization and very productive before the government became douches.

So, how about you nickvc? Interested?

Chloragyrite - with a Mohs hardness of 1.5 to 2.5, you could use a handheld Estwing 4 lb crack hammer https://geology.com/store/rock-hammers/crack-hammers.shtml along with a handmade dolly pot https://raregoldnuggets.com/?p=1470 to crush.

Or get "automated" and use a heavy-duty tumbler like this Extreme Tumbler https://extremetumblers.com/ Holds 17 lbs and is well built. At that Mohs hardness, it would "chew" through your sample size in no time. I have one and have used it dry with 1" SS ball bearings to crush my samples (over 5+ Mohs) to ~100 mesh for assays.

Have you any assay results you can share?

Peace and health,
James
