NaHSO4 makes a very good substitute for sulfuric acid in reactions.
At my local lapidary guild, we use sodium bisulfate for our silver pickle, and I take it home and dispose of it in my refining waste stream. But now I'm wondering if I can use it for silver chloride conversion with iron. Does that sound reasonable?

Yet another way for converting AgCl.
Brilliant!
Aye, and reusing a waste solution to boot!

It's dirty pickle, but the silver chloride I'm looking to convert is actually from my stock pot, so I was going to redigest it in nitric regardless.
