Hello everyone,
Is sodium Nitrate NANO3 AR contaminate and loss our gold. my question is not on first we making nitric acid with H2SO4 .my question is pure sodium nitrate who first dissolve in water and then add in HCl .
Because sodium metal is already present in poor mans AR.who loss gold for example ( first we dissolve nickle metal in nitric acid then evaporate whole acid then acid convert into powder and we dissolve this powder into water then add in HCL for making AR)
and we dissolve gold in Nickle metal AR my thinking is this metal based AR loss and contaminate gold and Sodium Nitrate AR is not good for second time of gold powder refining.and not good for gold refining.

Yes, it may add contaminants but I highly doubt that you will loose values... Unless you have some NaNO3 highly contaminated with strange stuff...
