Hi,
Have done several batches of these, normally the gold peels off in a nice layer (upper right) but this batch the gold looks like it was eaten away. Any ideas what is happening.
Aluminum housing, nickel plate then gold. Using dilute nitric (50/50).
Only differences from the last batch is its very cold and I may have put more nitric in then previous. 70/30?
