Please if you don't want to be exposed to any of the following DO NOT REFINE METAL!!!

Sulfur dioxide * Toxic
Nitrogen monoxide *HIGHLY TOXIC
Nitrogen oxide *Toxic
Nitrogen dioxide *HIGHLY TOXIC
CHLORINE GAS (MUSTARD GAS) mixing HCL and Bleach
Hydrogen *highly explosive
hydrogen chloride gas (methlab gas) *HIGHLY CORROSIVE

nōnāgintā trēs

I don't wish anyone to be exposed to any of the dangersous gasses or chemicals.
That's why I like this forum. It not only gives instructionals on how to but it also states the hazards and how to deal with them.

nōnāgintā trēs, please step back and take a nice soothing deep breath. relax.
Please rethink why you are here. Are you here to learn of to teach?
If to teach, then you need to learn to teach the right way. To include any and all hazzards and safety. Only this will save that 1 mistake that will cost a lifetime of regret.
BS.

Dear pan,

have you considered this might be too dangerous for you? Perhaps a basket weaving club would better suit and be much safer?

nōnāgintā trēs,

Please stop what you are doing, before you need to be banned and all your posts removed.
Study and learn, without causing problems or find a new forum.

nōnāgintā trēs,

Insulting other members is unnecessary. There are errors in your original post. Keep your mind open to correction and perhaps others will open their minds to your ideas.

According to Wikipedia: "Nitrogen oxide can refer to a binary compound of oxygen and nitrogen, or a mixture of such compounds"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrogen_oxide

Chlorine gas is NOT mustard gas. It's toxic, but it's not mustard gas
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulfur_mustard

Once you start making errors like this, other statements you make are questioned. We strive for correct information on this forum. Mistakes can put others at risk. Safety first.

Really?

This is mustard gas C4H8Cl2S
This is SMB Na2S2O5,
This is Nitrogen Dioxide NO2
This is Nitrogen monoxide NO
This is sulfur dioxide SO2
AND THIS IS CHLORINE GAS Cl which they used in WWI
http://chemistry.about.com/od/imagesclipartstructures/ig/Chemical-Weapons/Chlorine-Gas.htm

Take a look at the Cl25 at the end of the mustard gas formula.

nōnāgintā trēs I tried basket weaving. Got kicked out for making "X" rated stick figures and almost poked my eye out. These things are sharp.

Now explosives and other dangerous things....kewl and neato. but unlike you, I understand that everyone needs to be reminded or learn everything when doing something to insure it's done properly and SAFELY!

Ever move a snow mountain with an Acetylene torch?... It's extremely loud
To do this, 1st light the torch and melt your way inside making a nice iggloo. Carefull not to melt too much snow and collaps the snow. When done, shut off the torch to extinguish. Then open both valves and while holding the escaping gasses inside your cave, count to 10 slowly. Try alittle at a time untill you use only enough to lift mountain. DO NOT SMOKE! You are filling a contained space with highly explosive gasses and extreme caution should be used. After the 10 count, close and remove tanks to safe distance. Now take a small container of Petrol and pour only a small fuse line from inside the cave back to, again, a safe distance. Now drop a match causing the gas to ignite and follow the trail you made. Cover your ears.....And wait for the fire dept. to show up to find out What the hell happened!!!!!...
At the time it seemed like it might be fun to try. Squatting down low, I was able to see under the mountain as it lifted about 4 feet from the ground!!! then plopped back to earth.
After regainning my hearing, I too ran to a location to see if I could find the cause of the explosion.....A blown tire I knew existed made a nice aliby for rocking the windows at the firehouse 2000 feet away.

Notice in my tutorial, I stated as many safety precautions as I Now know so that the next Dumbazz that just has to give it a go can do so in a safer manner then myself...

Pantherlikher you now owe me a new keyboard, mine is now covered in coffee because of you, I'm almost crying laughing at that.

Ahhhh a man and his big bangs, gotta love it.

Acetylene, now thats a awsum gas, nasty if you get it wrong, butt fun.

Hydrogen.... now that has to be one of the safest flammable gases thier is, granted it will explode when wet, butt will only burn when dry. It will not accumulate like other gases, it will just rise to the occassion and dissapear through you roof with the greatest of ease. As a fuel, i would rather use hydrogen that any other.

Just think, if we were to use all the hydrogen on earth we would have no tonic to go with our Gin, for that matter, no Gin to go with our ice/lemon, so please save our hydrogen.

I followed your link. I agree, it says chlorine gas was used in WWI. But I don't see any reference to the term "mustard gas" in your link. I never said chlorine gas hadn't been used in warfare. I said chlorine gas was not the same as mustard gas. I stand by that statement.

Did you bother to follow my link before you responded? According to Wiki:
Wiki said:
Sulfur mustard is the organic compound with formula (Cl-CH2CH2)2S. In the Depretz method, sulfur mustard is synthesized by treating sulfur dichloride with ethylene:

SCl2 + 2 C2H4 → (Cl-CH2CH2)2S
In the Levinstein process, sulfur monochloride is used instead:[4][5]

8 S2Cl2 + 16 C2H4 → 8 (Cl-CH2CH2)2S + S8
In the Meyer method, thiodiglycol is produced from chloroethanol and potassium sulfide and chlorinated with phosphorus trichloride:[6]

3 (HO-CH2CH2)2S + 2 PCl3 → 3 (Cl-CH2CH2)2S + 2 P(OH)3
In the Meyer-Clarke method, concentrated hydrochloric acid (HCl) instead of PCl3 is used as the chlorinating agent:

(HO-CH2CH2)2S + 2 HCl → (Cl-CH2CH2)2S + 2 H2O
Doesn't look like C4H8Cl2S to me.

You also conveniently ignored my first correction. You originally stated:
Nitrogen oxide *Toxic
That is simply not correct. Read the links. Then if you still feel you're correct, respond with something that supports what you say.

Jim pan Geo and whoever else,

This is why I hate internet forums. I got told to come here! I said no at first, then I gave in, then I got told to post some posts and make friends and YOU ALL KNOW if you where in a room with me you would not be trying to wind me up!! Go a head and kick me off if you want. WOW!

nōnāgintā trēs,

I have done nothing to "wind you up". My posts have been made to correct factual errors where I've seen them. At this point I am less concerned that you take offence at my comments than I am that others may read what you have written and harm themselves or others.

If you don't like it here, you don't have to wait to be banned. If you want to learn some reliable methods to refine high purity precious metals please stick around and absorb the collective knowledge of the many professionals and hobbbyists who have freely given of their time to help others in their quest.

Goodbye,
If you don't know how to be civil then I guess you better go. We don't need the forum being filled up with keywords that will bring searchs for certain things here.

Nobody told you to "post some posts", that is totally optional. You can read and study the forum all by yourself and not make waves. You felt the need to teach everybody, when you should be reading.

Or maybe a more correct statement would be:

If you don't want to be exposed to any of the following, use the proper safety requirements, and equipment so you don't harm yourself.

You are putting yourself at far more risk by eating food that has been processed. By breathing the air in a big city. By drinking water in 90% of the countries of the world. By drinking a soft drink http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...ent-cancer-risk-Call-ban-colouring-agent.html or taking the drugs prescribed to you by your own doctor.

If you are going to say these things, at least say it correctly. And try to put things into perspective so that your warning is not just blown off as BS.

I'm guessing he didn't like some of your replies to other threads, but it is interesting that he mentioned you in this one.

He left in a huff. I'm guessing he may not be back. Perhaps once he cools off he'll reconsider some of the good advice given to him, including a lot that you provided.

I do not know and by no means do not want to sound disrespectful but Mr. Afghanistan area code is making strange threads and posts and his contribution so far was citing or copying text from some other web site, yes, the one which talk about melting gold in potato.

ive heard that i do leave an impression. ive been told before that "the people that like me, really like me, and the the people that don't like me,REALLY don't like me".
