I got a book, I write everyone I meet down in that book. Your in my book Geo, as is most everyone I have come into contact with on this forum. And I have you under "Good guy lots of help"

I am teasing of course, but in my book Geo, you are a "good guy". I enjoy reading your posts and have learned much by just listening to what you have to say.

As many many others on this forum.

It seems to me like too often new people allow their pride to dictate their actions and control how they respond. These people lead me to believe that, although they want to be seen as being in control, they really are being controlled by their emotions rather than rational thought.

If it wasn't so incredibly sad, it might actually be incredibly funny.

According to your illogical reasoning, table salt, NaCl, is also mustard gas because it has a Cl on the end of it.

I spent 2 years in the Air Force teaching a once a month, 40 hour course in Chemical, Biological, and Radiological warfare. Mustard gas was one of the topics. To teach the use of a gas mask, we had a gas chamber that contained chlorine gas. The people went in with no mask on and put it on once in there. If that had been mustard gas, there would have been a lot of dead people or people with permanent disabilities. Chlorine gas and mustard gas = Apples and oranges.

One thing that is not tolerated on this forum is false information and that is something you seem to be fluent in. I would suggest you fully research what you're saying before you post it.

thanks Scott, i appreciate it. i do try to help and sometimes im straight forward with what i feel needs to be said. normally, its when someone is posting something dangerous or wrong. ive made a-many of boo-boos and will more than likely make a few more but i have never let malice dictate how i respond to someone. for me to loose my cool, it would really take some prolonged attempts to push my buttons. i try to be friendly with everyone even and especially if someone disagrees with me.

I've been watching from afar like i always do. I've seen a lot of things that draws flags. What flags? Don't care what the flags may be but it tells me something is not right somewhere. I don't care who your friends are or who you know if you can't become part of the group effort then you can leave the same way you came. You friends should have told you that and probably have as a matter of fact. You seem to naturally be disruptive. Just my thoughts.

On a lighter note Geo i'm like you. Either you really love me, or you really hate me. :mrgreen:
Either of which is fine because i'm me and what you see is what you get. I don't change perceptions because i'm around a certain person or group of people. All me-all the time.

it's really ashame egos get in the way of reality. It seems nōnāgintā trēs has alot of interesting points to ponder and should ask alot of questions after researching. I found his posts interesting but very dangerously unneccessary for the most part. Most of what he wrote, I did a search on here and found alot of information and of course, ideas as to reinventing the wheel. But refuse to go so far as to try and be a teacher anywhere for a teacher is only as smart as what he has learned.
For this fact alone, thanks to all here who are willing to share what they have learned. and thank you for allowing me to learn.

Now remind me to explain the physics of how to deal with several gas/ petrol tanks all burning at once and why you should never use a front end loader to squash out the flames.

i for one understand the need to be accepted.everyone wants to be accepted and appreciated for the things we do and there is plenty of room here for bringing safety issues to light. no one should feel that they are being put down or held back. i appreciate nōnāgintā trēs's desire of wanting to be part of the community and contributing. the problem is the information being used for the purpose. i have already pointed out to him/her that he should include in his more flavorful post that its just his opinion and may not be the accepted norm.aside from some of it being totally false, there seems to be no willingness on his part to accept that he may be wrong,backing up false information with some animosity.he,along with everyone here has the right to his opinion.nōnāgintā trēs, just because your opinion does not match or correspond to other peoples experiences doesnt mean that someone is attacking you.
