I can't seem to find a definite answer on this. I noticed when melting the silver with the Nitric and distilled water, of course the work is done in a hood. I get that part.
But once the silver is liquefied, and you add the distilled water to cool it down....folks are decanting and stirring and what not OUTSIDE the hood. So my question is at that point... when its time to drop in the copper, is that fluid safe to be around as far as vapors go? Like stock pots, or even silver that is cementing for the 24 hours. Can you be around that stuff?
I have watched Kariders videos as well as Aqullias and notice when the silver is melted, they are decanting and transferring liquids from one flask to the other outside the hood. They are wearing gloves and protective clothing..I can see that. I just don't know if they have a room vent fan on...or a respirator because you never see.
Thanks in advance,
Craig
