Which part of the computer has these metals and some of the other deadly metals
This is what i wanted to say

I believe the worst of the stuff like cadmium, etc. is found in or on the motherboard of the computer.
Of course, the glass in the CRT monitors have a lot of lead in them and are not the easiest to deal with
on a small scale.

Maybe someone else knows better than I but don't the LCD displays on cell
phones, scanners, notebooks, etc. contain some harmful stuff like mercury as well?

I can say for sure they will be in the motherboard, if there at all :)

LCD displays have rare earths in them. Still researching that, as I'd like to find out if it's viable to extract REEs from LCDs.

Arsnic is not found in it's elemental state in computers.
it is usually found in the form of Gallium arsenide (GaAs), which is some type semiconductor compund, it can be found in transistors and some other types of integrated circuits...

about mercury, i find it hard to belive that a computer that was produced in the last 20 years contains any mercury... then again, i'm not sure...

LCD's contain, to the most part, indium oxide (REE) and tin oxide

Neither, mostly in optoelectronics (LED's, Lasers , switches, etc.)
