GSP " I know that the 2:1 ratio works in practice, in most cases, is because I've done it a jillion times."

I would love to see 200 jillion ounces of silver. Must make quite a pile.

What if we use only nitric 70% and not mix with water?
Welcome to us.
Concentrated Nitric can't dissolve as much as dilute Nitric, it can't "carry" so much.

Her is for some studies:

We ask our new members to do 3 things.
1. Read C.M. Hokes book on refining jewelers scrap, it gives an easy introduction to the most important chemistry regarding refining.
It is free here on the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=19798
2. Then read the safety section of the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/forums/safety.47/
3. And then read about "Dealing with waste" in the forum: https://goldrefiningforum.com/threads/dealing-with-waste.10539/

Thank for reply..
I am jeweller. I used only nitric 70% and it produced dark brown fumes, but when i used the 50-50 nitric acid and water it seems slow reaction time and the fumes are light brown in colour. My alloy is maximum times of copper silver and gold.

Do you have a fume hood?
The gases AR very toxic and dangerous for yor langs.
If it is created a lot of fumes/gases you are wasting acid.
What are you dissolving?

Nitric alone will not be effective on karat higher than 6.
And Aqua Regia will not be effective on 14 karat and lower depending on the Silver content.

Study the book from Hoke, it was written for treating jewelers waste.

I do it on open terrace. I am dissolving gold jewellery which is most of 20K weighing 200gm. I have inquarted it to 6k around 25% gold. I have used the aqua regia method to directly on 20k gold last time but made loss of around 2% gold. It think it is due to loss of gold dissolved aqua regia solution while transfering and filtering. So i am trying using the inquartating and parting method which is traditional used by jewellers around me for many years.

I have searched on internet and found the 1.17ml of nitric dissolves 1gm of silver and 3.5ml of nitric dissolves 1gm of copper.

Also most of refiniers i know use only nitric acid.

You should get yourself a fume hood.
And yes around on per gram of Silver and around 4 fro Copper.
Parting and Nitric will do for most unless higher purity is needed.

I am going to buy automatic refining machine in upcoming days. I have refined using this method today. I will check its purity in the morning. The required purity is 99.5%.

A refining machine will be a colossal waste of money for the feed you describe. Just a good hood (and possibly a fume scrubber to be nice to your neighbors) will be all you need.

The machine may help reduce loss of gold. As i always lose 1-2 % of gold. Any suggestions are welcome.

Get your processes correct and the losses will be minimized.
I do not know which machine you are thinking about, but they most likely use the same processes that you are already using.
So what you need, is proper lab hygiene/techniques and training.

Please post a link to the machine you are thinking about and then post the details of your process. Members of this forum have seen most of the machines out there and know their capabilities. And even more members of this forum are experienced enough to offer constructive commentary on your process.

If you open up to us about what you are thinking and doing you will benefit greatly.
