I was wondering if anyone lived in the ottawa ontario area that can help me with my gold extraction my son wanted to try distracting gold from computer parts when we used the nitric acid I didn't realize that the percentage of nitric acid I have was 80% now we get the ball to drop. If somebody in the area has experienced I'm going to split the profits with them if they're able to help me get their gold out of the liquid I don't know what he did or nothing I do works I have a lot of liquid because my son just kept going so if you live in the area and you think you can help message me and I'm willing to split the profits of the gold and silver and anything else that comes out. Hope somebody is in the area
If you only used nitric your gold should be either in dust particles, plated or in components. Need to know all you used.
Filtering if above is true and then you see what you have and proceed accordingly.
Also, there's little chance you had 80% nitric lying around, unless you had it at right pressure and temperature which is unlikely.
If gold plating is present after filtering all is well, if not you gotta see what that sludge is cement the clean filtered solution on copper then get base metals with aluminium, after that neutralize with hydroxide and get the aluminium, slowly, this is very dangerous as it could get warm enough to boil and explode given right conditions.
However, most likely your gold is still locked in components. We also need to know volumes, pictures help. Also, it is probable that the amount of gold present will be hardly recoverable, we have no clue what you have done except for obvious desperation.
Take it easy and don't generate more volume.
If you have free acid and are bored you can always do selective cementation, which, imo, is pretty cool, might need some ph strips
.
Btw first of all, that was a waste of nitric, use acids sparingly you should be careful with that solution and do some tests.
