When entering into an agreement for refining services (or any type of mining service) when there's more than a trivial amount of money/time on the line for your budget; don't forget to make sure there is a "deadline" or "delivery date" clause ..... this is often overlooked, and can lead to festering problems.

Furthermore .... no matter how nice someone may appear/represent themselves to be on the surface; you never know their current true financial condition .... if your doing business with somebody who is currently hiding the fact they are facing/under financial duress (for whatever reason) ... the odds of you becoming a potential victim greatly increases, especially if your paperwork/security is weak.

The business of mining is poorly regulated .... the environmental part of mining in North America is highly regulated, but the business side not so much ..... it takes alot of money to go to court, win, and collect, so some small-time scam artists (and some people who simply find themselves in financial trouble) will use that fact to their advantage - because they know it'll cost you more than your initial loss to go thru the courts and try to collect on a judgement, especially if your paperwork/security is weak.

If your paperwork is weak, and it comes down to somebody who is having financial problems paying either you or the govt. for back taxes, or their medical bills ... the odds are high you will come out less than whole.
