she says that the gases consist of
hydrogen gas
She says they become a fire hazard, they should be escape into the outside air
If I have a good blower and the gas is escapes into the outside.
Can this be a problem

As long as you keep the gasses moving at a respectable rate, it shouldn't present a problem. On very rare occasions, I'd get ignition of the hydrogen coming off my stock pot, although it was just a burst and then it was gone. I kept my stock pot in the mouth of my fume hood, so the gasses were exposed to open flames. Key to success was the constant movement of the minimal amount of hydrogen.

The real hazard comes from allowing it to build up. If you managed to fill a room with hydrogen and it ignited, I believe that's called an explosion, one in which you would likely be killed, if not badly maimed. For sure, you'd kiss off your building.

Hydrogen is a by-product of refining---so work areas should have a means of ventilation.
